Tabulé, is a recipe for very popular Arabic cuisine.
This is a vegetarian Arabic salad composed of bulgur wheat, spring onions, parsley, peppermint and lemon juice. It is a fresh salad, delicious and very healthy.
It is a dish of Sirius origin.
Ingredients: (6 people):
- 1 cup Bulgur or burghul (wheat semolina)
- 3 chopped chives
- 2 cups chopped fresh parsley
- 1 cup chopped fresh mint
- ½ kg of diced red tomatoes
- ½ cup freshly squeezed lemon juice
- Salt
- Pepper (optional)
- 2-3 tablespoons olive oil
Preparation:
Step 1:
Put the burghul in a bowl of water and let it soak for 10 minutes.
Step 2:
Drain the burghul in a colander and squeeze the remaining water by pressing the burghul with a spoon.
Step 3:
Place the burgulla together with the rest of the ingredients in a bowl and mix well.
Serve as an appetizer, accompanied by fresh lettuce leaves. To stack the tabbouleh, or as a salad to accompany a main course.
Variations
In some areas of Lebanon or Syria, freshly harvested vine leaves are used to stack this exquisite salad.
Recommendations to accompany it
